KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is host to the California Old Time Fiddlers’ Association on the first Sunday of each month.

The August event was canceled due to heat, smoke and extreme fire danger.

Both the museum volunteers and the fiddlers are ready to resume the monthly event on Sunday, Sept. 6. This event is very popular and draws a large crowd each month.

The musicians will follow the usual round-robin format with donations benefitting both the Ely Stage Stop, helping to fund the construction of the blacksmith complex, and the Old Time Fiddlers Association District 10, using it to partially fund their scholarship programs.

Come early to picnic and check out the latest museum acquisitions and displays.  Enjoy the music with beverages and tasty treats provided by the docents. Bring your own wine and sip it in Ely Stage Stop wine glasses that are available for purchase.

In April, the Stage Stop held its first Marketplace in conjunction with that month’s Fiddlers’ Jam and it was a rousing success. Eleven vendors and 250 attendees enjoyed music, refreshments, and the opportunity to browse and purchase the wares of local craftsmen and artists.
