MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – A Halloween party for children of all ages will be held on Friday, Oct. 30.

It will take place from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Calpine Geothermal Visitors Center, 15500 Central Park Road in Middletown.

Activities will include decorating mini cakes, bobbing for apples and dressing mummies up with toilet paper. There may be a few more small games, weather permitted. There will be lots of fun toys as prizes.

They are still accepting volunteers to help run the event, and are hoping to have one or two makeup artist to help create zombie makeup for volunteers.

LOCH LOMOND, Calif. – Loch Lomond community members are being asked to participate in a trick-or-treating event for children on Halloween, Oct. 31.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Grace Evangelical Free Church will host its “Price Is Right” event for sixth through 12th graders on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

The free event will take place at the church, located at 6716 Live Oak Drive, Kelseyville.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event taking place from 7 to 9 p.m.

There will be more than $15,000 in prizes offered. One of the prizes is a new car.

LUCERNE, Calif. – Northshore Community Center, formerly the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center, will host its Country Band Potluck on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The potluck and musical event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the center, 3985 Country Club Drive.

The third Wednesday every month marks this regular fundraiser and music event.

The High Notes band is featured and will get your toe tapping. Come hear their monthly performance and dance a bit.

Admission is a $12 admission. Bring something wonderful to share.

All proceeds from the meal benefit Northshore Community Center, a not-for-profit that serves all north shore and senior populations with on site lunches, Meals on Wheels, activities, and advocacy.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Public Works Department announced that storm drain repair work will cause additional street closures next week.

From Monday, Oct. 19, through Wednesday, Oct. 21, Main Street between 10th Street and 11th Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. while a storm drain repair is completed.

During this time the effected businesses in the area will be accessible and parking is available outside the construction zone.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Oct. 23, and the following week, Oct. 26 through Oct. 30, Main Street in the construction zone will be open with controlled traffic.

Please use caution in the area and be aware of workers and equipment during this phase of the work.
