LAKEPORT, Calif. – A special meeting of the Lakeport City Council is set to place place on Tuesday, July 11.

The meeting will be held beginning at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

The purpose of the meeting is to hold a local economic opportunities workshop.

The workshop will include a presentation by the California Academy for Economic Development in cooperation with the city of Lakeport and the California Association for Local Economic Development, or CALED.

Presenters will include Lakeport City Manager Margaret Silveira; Wes Ervin, California Academy for Economic Development; Michelle Stephens, CALED Academy; Jeff Lucas, Community Development Services; and Kevin Ingram, Lakeport Community Development director.

During the workshop they will discuss ways to strengthen Lakeport’s businesses, job opportunities and overall prosperity.
