LAKEPORT, Calif. – Just about anything you can make or grow at home is eligible for entry into competition at the annual Lake County Fair, but the deadline for entering exhibit items at the Lake County Fair is approaching rapidly.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – This Saturday, July 15 the Main Street Elite Cycling Team will be hosting the RPPHobby Lakeport Downtown Criterium.

To facilitate the event and allow bicycle racing on Main Street to Martin Street to Forbes Street to Fourth Street and back to Main Street, the following street closures and parking restrictions will be in place.

Street closures

Main Street between C Street and Fifth Street will be closed to vehicles from 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

However persons needing to access Main Street businesses, with a vehicle, between Martin and C streets, will be allowed into that area.

Fifth Street east of Main Street will be open for vehicles needing to access the city boat launch ramps and Library Park. No vehicle access to Main Street businesses between Fifth Street and Martin Street will be allowed.

Forbes Street between Martin Street and Fifth Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fifth Street west of Forbes Street will be open for persons needing to access residences in this area.

No vehicle access to any Forbes Street businesses or residences between 5th Street and Martin Street will be allowed.

Martin Street, Armstrong Street, First Street, Second Street, Third Street and Fourth Street between Main and Forbes streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parking restrictions

No vehicles shall be left parked in any of the above described closure areas after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 15.

This restriction shall remain in place until all Streets are reopened to traffic at 8 p.m.

Additional information

All Lakeport businesses in the closure can be accessed by pedestrians.

Persons needing to access the city south of Martin Street are advised to use Lakeport Boulevard off Highway 29.

Persons needing to access the city north of Fifth Street are advised to use 11th Street off Highway 29.
