Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 21

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Guardrail repairs at Saratoga Spring Rd will occur Monday, Sept. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Garden Court. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Emergency culvert repairs from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane through Friday, Sept. 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency highway repairs near Arroyo Vista Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Bridge work at Salmon Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect through 7 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, then from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays starting Monday, Sept. 18. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at the Noyo River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect through 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, then from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays starting Monday, Sept. 18. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work north of the Westport North Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency storm damage repairs south of the Wages Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Bridge work from Little Lake Road to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect through 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, then 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work at Two Rock Lookout will start on Monday, Sept. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Guardrail repairs at Comminsky Station Road will begin Tuesday, Sept. 19. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Median barrier installation from Geysers Road to Comminsky Station Road will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 4 a.m. to midnight weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Guardrail repairs at the Crawford Creek Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Guardrail repairs at the 253 junction will start Monday, Sept. 18. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Pavement work at the Route 222 off ramp will occur on Monday, Sept. 18. A full closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should find an alternate route.

– Bridge work at the Pomo Undercrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail repairs at Haehl Overhead to Bridge Walker Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage repairs just south of Outlet Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage repairs at Reynolds Hwy to Ryan Creek Road will start Monday, Sept. 18. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Drainage repairs at various locations from Arnold Bridge Overhead to the Rattlesnake Creek Bridge will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10- minute delays.

– Emergency pavement repairs from Long Valley Creek to the Empire Camp Rest Area will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday evening through Saturday morning. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency slide removal near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail repairs near the Bear Pen Undercrossing will continue through Friday, Sept. 15. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridgework at the South Fork of Eel River Bridge begins Monday, Sept. 18. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Bridge work from Shearing Creek to Fish Rock Road began Monday, Sept. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work at the Dry Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Sept. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road began on Monday, Sept. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Biggar Lane. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays.

Highway 222

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work at Perry St through East side Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, and Tuesday, Sept. 19. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Highway repairs near Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Emergency repairs at Piercy will begin on Monday, Sept. 18. Full closure will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be detoured on Route 101.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
