LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club will hold the kick-off meeting for its 2017-18 year on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The group will meet beginning at noon at the Scotts Valley Club House at 22908 Hendricks Road, Lakeport.

A light lunch will be served.

Jim Leonardis, manager of organic walnut orchards and vegetable farms that sell their products to stores and markets, will be the featured speaker.

He will give information on what vegetables to plant now for a winter garden and how to maintain your garden with Lake County winter weather conditions.

This will be timely and interesting information.
